BIO OIL REVIEW

Packaging: The oil comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a white screw-cap. With regular usage, the bottle gets a bit oily so you need to wrap it in something while travelling.

Fragrance: The oil has a pleasant smell and won’t bother sensitive noses.

Texture: The oil is lightweight but feels heavy when used in larger quantity.

How I use and after-effects: After almost 2 months of usage, I think its the right time to finally share my thoughts on this much-hyped product. To use, simply take a few drops on the palms and massage it on your skin until you feel it is absorbed well; build it up if you have dry skin. This oil can be used on stretch marks, as a lip oil, to treat acne scars, prevent stretch marks during pregnancy etc. If you ask me, I feel the oil can also be used as a lip scrub too mixed with granulated sugar.

I have little stretch marks on the hip area, a scar on my legs due to an accident and acne scars on face. I decided to test the oil and see if it works on these issues. After approx. 2 months of usage, here are my final thoughts- The oil is lightweight only when used in smaller quantities, when a lot of product is used, it feels oily and sticky. I used this product all over my legs and hip area and also used it on my face initially but stopped as it felt oily. I did not really like the feel of this oil on my face and it only made it oilier even after using just a drop. After massaging, the oil does seep in and does not feel as sticky as it does initially on other body parts except face in my case (I have combination skin). I feel my stretch marks and wound scar have lightened a bit but the results aren’t extraordinary. The marks are still there but they seem to be lightened. Legs do feel glowy and bright which is something I did not expect from this product! I did not continue using this on the face as I did not like its oily feel on my combination skin. Dry skinned girls can use this without any problems. I love using this oil on the lips to massage (sometimes along with sugar) before applying a matte lipstick. Overall, the product is decent and does have some positive effect on various skin problems like stretch marks and wound scars.
