The Body Shop organic cotton pads and buds are manufactured using natural fibers. The pads are soft and absorbent with two different fluff-free surfaces. One side is textured to effectively remove makeup or nail polish and smooth side ideal for gentle cleansing. The cosmetic buds have a flat rounded end and one pointed end. Rounded end can be used for applying makeup or as a smudger while the pointed tips can be used to correct the liner and also remove the makeup from hard to reach places around the eyes.
If you use makeup a lot, It is important for you to invest in a good makeup remover and cotton pads. Removing makeup is important since the traces if left behind can cause acne and blackheads! I always used the surgical sterilized cotton that we get commercially but I finally made up my mind to get organic cotton balls or pads that are specifically made for makeup removal. The Body Shop has organic cotton rounds which I wanted to get but since it wasn’t available, I got hold of organic cotton pads and also the cosmetic buds that they have. The difference between TBS cotton rounds and pads is only the shape- the pads are round and small while pads are square and comparatively bigger in size. Here is a review on it:
MY TAKE ON THE BODY SHOP ORGANIC COTTON PADS
The cotton pads come neatly stacked one above the other in a frosty textured plastic with a thread pull-and-close end. The packaging is very simple and keeps the pads neat, clean and free of dust. The cosmetic buds come bunched in a cardboard white box.
The organic cotton pads are double sided- one side is textured for easy removal of makeup (both face and eyes) and the soft side is for gentle cleansing. The cosmetic buds have cotton ends- one side flat rounded while the other side is pointed. The tips are soft and gentle to be used.
How I use and after effects:
I use Vichy Micellar Water to remove my makeup using these cotton pads. I simply take some amount of the micellar water on the textured side of the pad, wipe my face with it including area around the eyes. I take some more amount of micellar water on the soft side of pad to cleanse my skin properly and literally all the makeup comes off! You just need 1 pad for the entire face. To remove mascara, I pinch my lashes gently between the soaked pad and it works. i use the buds to remove kajal/kohl from the waterline. the flat rounded end works perfect in removing thick liner while the tip is useful in waterline and around the corners. The pointed tip can also be used in correcting your winged liner.
There are 50 pads and 100 buds each in one pack and It seems it will last really long as I don’t use makeup everyday.
