COLOURPOP ITS VINTAGE MINI ULTRA MATTE LIP COLLECTION REVIEW

What the brand says: A set of 5 ultra matte lips with pretty brown-peach autumn shades. This thin, lightweight formula smoothly glides on the lips leaving SUPER intense pigment with a bold, ultra-matte look. It is very long-wearing and 100% kiss-proof AKA no transferring!

Packaging: The lipsticks come in a carton box neatly arranged. The ultra matte lipsticks look just like any other colourpop lipstick but are smaller in size.

Texture: The lipsticks have a very thin consistency that glide on very easily on the lips, just as easy as you paint a surface. After few seconds, the lipstick dries int a super-drying matte finish that does not transfer at all.

Shade: There are a total of 5 shades in this collection, here is a summary on each-

Bianca- This is a soft mauve shade that is almost nude and might look a bit frosty on darker skin tones.

Tulle- Tulle is a dusty burgundy shade that isn’t very deep or dark, nor is it lighter. The shade is a perfect when you do not want a dark lipstick yet an eye catching shade.

Notion- This is a beautiful deepened raspberry shade that will go well with all skin tones.

Love Bug- Love bug is a rich mahogany shade and is quite unique brown with peach undertones to it. My favorite shade in this range!

Lax- This is a vampy red shade and is the darkest in this range. It is quite similar to notion but is a bit darker and deeper.

How I use and staying power: Since this is a dry-matte lipstick, most of the girls prefer applying a lip balm underneath; this actually disrupts its long-lasting nature. Always exfoliate your lips before you use these lippies or it might emphasize dry patches. Simply smoothen the wand on your upper and lower lips and you are done. Since the applicator is smaller in size as compared to full sized lipsticks, 2 dips might be needed. Let it dry for 1 minute or so and you will have a perfect matte pout.

The lipsticks feel super comfortable on the lips and since they do not transfer at all, you need not worry about getting it inside your mouth or on your food that you bite. The lipstick does dry and is non-transferable but if you rub your lips really hard, you can see your fingers getting stained yet the lipstick remains as it is which a great. If you eat very oily food, it does transfer a bit but you won’t see it budge or smudged at all. This means that the lipstick lives upto its claims of being non-transferable and water-proof. The lipstick certainly is tough to remove; I used all the micellar waters  and makeup removers that I have and also the rice cleansing water from The Face Shop but it always needed rubbing which made my lips red and inflamed. If you want to remove this from your lips with minimal rubbing, simply apply a lip balm generously on your lips and massage and finally wipe it off with a cotton cloth or wash cloth. Overall, these lipsticks are great for everyday use without the fear of fading or the hustle of re-application.
