COLOURPOP CRYSTAL LIQUID HIGHLIGHTER REVIEW- ALL SHADES

What the brand says:  A lightweight, liquid highlighter that can be mixed with a moisturizer or applied on top of your foundation for a crystal-infused glow. The highlighters contain their respective crystals infused in them.

MY TAKE ON COLOURPOP CRYSTAL LIQUID HIGHLIGHTER

Packaging: The liquid highlighters come in a sturdy glass bottle with plastic pump and a transparent lid. The bottles look pretty and are easy to use and carry around.

Texture: The liquid highlighters are perfect as an on-top highlighter  if you have oily to combination skin; it goes a bit oily if mixed with moisturizer or foundation. If you have normal to dry skin, you can use it anyhow.

Shade: There are 4 beautiful shades in this range, below is a summary on each:

Aventurine: This is pearl green and might look a bit weird as a highlighter. It looks more like yellow though!

Rose Quartz: This is a beautiful rose gold shade and will suit all skin tones!

Amethyst: This is a pearl lavender shade.

Aquamarine: This is a pearl blue shade and will look better as a on-top highlighter for fair skin.

Fragrance: The liquid highlighters don’t really have a dominant fragrance but they all smell fresh.

How I use and staying power: For a crystal-infused glow, use 1 to 2 pumps and apply onto the face using your fingers or a brush. Mix with your foundation or moisturizer for an all-over radiant look!

COLOURPOP CRYSTAL LIQUID HIGHLIGHTER REVIEW- ALL SHADES
Rose Quartz

I personally do not like glowing face since I have combination skin that anyways looks dewy by the end of the day. I like using this product as an on-top highlighter on cheek bones and on the center of nose; works great that way! Rose quartz is a neutral shade which gives a rosy glow and will suit all skin tones. The liquid highlighter can also be mixed with moisturizer or foundation but I feel it goes a bit heavy or oily on my skin type. Normal to dry skin beauties can use it any way. The liquid highlighters are like MAC strobe creams. While using along with foundation, make sure you mix only a peanut size for entire face or you might look overly shimmery.

PROS:

  • Travel friendly
  • Great quality
  • Rose quartz looks great on all skin tones
  • Sturdy packaging
  • Can be used mixed with face products or on top of foundation

CONS:

  • Mixing with face products won’t go well with people with oily or combination skin
