What the brand says: Packed with Charcoal Powder, this quirky carbonated mask cleanses, exfoliates, and unclogs pores. It bubbles as it sloughs off dead skin cells and lifts pore-clogging dirt and sebum. Its powerful nutrients also replenish the skin, softening and smoothing for a youthful glow.
Packaging: The mask comes in a sturdy plastic jar with a tight inner lid and screw-cap. An applicator too is provided which is great!
Texture: The mask feels sticky and thick in the jar but goes on smoothly on the skin with the applicator provided. The mask when foams feel light exactly like foam.
Fragrance: The mask has an earthy smell which is not OTT.
How I use and after-effects: To use, cleanse your face, apply any toner if you want and with the applicator, smoothen the mask over your face (make sure you close the lid as soon as possible or the mask in jar too starts bubbling). Relax and let the mask work for 20 minutes. The mask starts foaming and swelling after a minute or so and you can feel it bubbling on your skin. I love this bubbling thing since it makes my skin feel that it’s getting cleansed. The foam after 20 minutes or so, starts bursting gently and settling which means it’s time to wash it off. I felt washing off the mask is a bit tricky since it is thick (after removing the foam) and might take some time to completely get rinsed off.
Now coming on to the effects, the mask does a great job in cleansing your pores. My face felt thoroughly cleansed and pores felt tightened. It did have a tightening effect but not drying which is great. The mask does not claim to brighten your face but I did see a brightened glow after rinsing it off. Using this mask is fun and it is effective for sure. I could not read any more claims or methods to use this on the pack since it is all written in Korean language. Overall, a great buy and a must have for oily skin which needs pore cleansing.
