What the brand says: Lakmé 9 To 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation is your answer to a workings women’s barrier to using foundation. It is a lightweight foundation meant for everyday use. It is available in 2 shades in mini pack and is extremely convenient to carry. Foundation with new formula that feels soft and incredibly weightless and is perfect for everyday office use.
MY TAKE ON LAKME 9 TO 5 WEIGHTLESS MINI MOUSSE FOUNDATION
Packaging: The foundation comes in the usual tube packaging just like the full sized version; since this is 6 grams product, the tube is quite tiny and easy to carry around.
Texture: The foundation has a mousse-like texture and nice blended settles into a powder-matte finish.
Shade: The mini version comes in 2 ‘everyday-kind-of’ shades as per the brand claims. Below is a summary on each-

Beige Vanilla- This is a yellow toned medium shade and will suit most of the fair-medium Indian skin tones.
Rose Ivory- This is a pink toned shade and will suit fair skin with pink undertones.
Fragrance: The product has a very strong and nauseating sweet fragrance which I hate!
How I use and staying power: To use, simply take some amount and blend onto your skin using finger tips. I feel the product is best applied with fingers other than a sponge or brush due to its mousse-like texture.
I have combination skin and only use clay based liquid foundations. Mousse foundations too can work for combination skin since it settles into a powder-matte finish with a velvety feel. The foundation settles to a comfortable matte finish but the coverage isn’t great, so if you have acne and dark spots, you might want to use a concealer beneath. Also, the foundation itself won’t hide the dark circles, you definitely need a concealer to cover up any flaws. Skin feels matte initially but gets shiny around the nose and chin after few hours (also because its summer and the weather is humid). I do not really like the foundation since it does not photograph well and gives a white cast. It is best for office wear and when you want minimal natural coverage for a brightened look.
