LOREAL PARIS COLOR RICHE LE MATTE LIP PEN REVIEW- ALL SHADES

MY TAKE ON LOREAL PARIS COLOR RICHE LE MATTE LIP PEN

Packaging: The lipsticks come in an easy-to-use retractable pen form which are color coded and travel friendly.

Texture: The lipsticks are extremely matte and can be a bit drying for chapped or already dry lips. On well exfoliated and moisturized lips, the lipsticks settle into a perfect and comfortable matte layer. One shade called as ‘Game, set & matte’ has a different weird waxy texture which is different from the rest.

Shade: There are a total of 5 shades in the range, below is a summary on each-

Shes so matte- This is a pretty mauve, neutral, everyday-kind-of shade and my favorite from the range! Should go well with all skin tones.

Mad for matte- This is a beautiful red shade and will go well with all skin tones.

Matte for me- This is a fuchsia-pink shade and looks lovely on fair-medium skin tones.

Matte-R of fact- This is a perfect purple shade and should go well with all skin tones.

Game, set & matte- This is the lightest shade of all in the range. This light baby pink shade contains a bit of shimmer which isn’t quite visible.

Fragrance: The lipsticks do not really smell of anything.

How I use and staying power: Before using these on the lips, make sure your lips are well exfoliated. I like using MAC lip scrub beforehand. Simply swipe it n your lips and you are good to go.

(L-R)- Mad for Matte, Matte for Me, She’s So Matte, Matt-R of Fact, Game Set & Matte

Out of all the lipstick textures, matte has to be my most preferred one and matte-lip trend isn’t going away anytime soon! These lipsticks are 100% matte and I love the formula! Though, I would like to mention that one shade out of the 4 called as ‘Game, set & matte’ has a weird waxy texture that goes on patchy on the lips but once you set/blend it with your fingers or a lip brush, you are good to go. Rest of the 4 shades are BOMB! I love them and I can use these anywhere anytime because my lips are always well exfoliated; if you have dry and chapped lips make sure you use these only after exfoliation or after moisturizing your lips since this can make your lips dryer. If you have used the Maybelline lip gradation and love the formula, you should love these too since they are quite similar in texture (lip gradation is a tiny bit on the softer side). The lipsticks do transfer a bit but only initially and once set, they are transfer-proof and stay intact even after moderate meals. They do fade a bit after heavy-oily meals.  Since I love comfortable-matte lipsticks, these have to be my favorite for now (except for 1 shade) until I find any better product than this!
