MY TAKE ON LOREAL PARIS INFALLIBLE LIP PAINT MATTE
Packaging: The lipsticks come in a travel-friendly tube form with a doe-tip applicator which is slightly convex that hugs the lips for precise application.
Texture: The lipsticks have a very creamy and has a comfortable texture that settles into velvety finish with subtle shine.
Shade: There are a total of 6 shades in the range, below is a summary on each-
Hollywood Beige- This is a pastel peach shade that I absolutely love. Will suit very fair to medium skin tones. Might look a bit frosty on darker skin tones.
King Pink- This is a pretty pink shade which looks a proper pink on fair skin tone and a bit neon on medium skin tone. If you love neon-pink shades, even darker skin tones can wear it.
Wuthering Purple- This shade looks a bit weird in the tube but looks pretty purple on the lips. Will suit all skin tones.
Tangerine Vertigo- This is a proper deep orange shade and will suit all skin tones.
Red Actually- This is a red shade with pink undertones. Will suit all skin tones.
Apocalypse Red- This is a berry red shade which looks absolutely gorgeous on fair to medium skin tones. Will suit all skin tones.
Fragrance: These lipsticks have a pleasant sweet smell, just like candies and I love it.
How I use and staying power: To use, simply swipe the applicator onto your lips. For an opaque finish, apply another layer.
The lipsticks aren’t really matte but settle to a velvety finish with subtle shine. I expected them to be matte but sadly, they aren’t. The finish is very comfortable on the lips and feels quite moisturizing. They aren’t that pigmented and give a sheer finish in one thin layer but layering does help to achieve a well pigmented opaque finish. The lipsticks settle into a subtle shiny finish and do transfer initially, but the stain does remain behind. After meals, the lipsticks completely go away and you might have to reapply. Darker shades leave a prominent stain and if you love the blotted look, you can skip reapplication. You can skip exfoliation prior to applying these because they work like lip balms and keep your lips soft. Overall, these lipsticks are decent and perfect for those who like easy-to-remove velvety lipsticks.
