What the brand says: A brilliant formula that pushes the boundaries of colour. Each Lipstick holds intense amounts of pigment, resulting in extreme colour intensity, clarity and vibrancy. This luxurious gelled base melts on contact, providing fully saturated colour with a satin finish in one stroke.
The lipstick comes in a twist-up long bullet form. The colour of the tube resembles the shade of lipstick.
The lipstick is very soft and moist and glides like butter on the lips. it settles into a moist satin finish and feels like a rich lip balm when lips are pressed together.
I got the shade ‘Smoked Almond’ which is a bright rose brown shade. The colour is beautiful and can be used as an everyday lipstick.
I love all the fragrances of MAC lipsticks. They have this pleasant vanilla smell which I love.
How I use and staying power:
I use it directly on the lips but I feel it is better to be applied using a soft lip brush because the lipstick has blunt ends and it is not easy to make sharp lines on the edges. Another thing that I observed while applying the lipstick directly is that, there isn’t much gap between the lipstick surface and the tube that holds it, so if you apply pressure, the lipstick tends to develop scratches onto it maybe because of the friction between the lipstick and tube.
Now coming to the performance of the lipstick; I am in true love with the shade, formula and design! Smoked Almond is such a beautiful neutral shade, you can make it from the pictures itself! The formula is just AMAZING! It is not matte and settles into a well pigmented moisturizing-satin finish. You get a pigmented colour with just one swipe of the lipstick. I keep pressing my lips together whenever I use this, the buttery-feel is that good! It transfers a lot but the stain stays behind all day long. I love this lipstick a lot, more than the matte ones I own! I have always been a matte person, but this lipstick has taken my heart away and I feel satin-textured lipsticks now look good on my lips :p The Liptensity range has a wide range of shades and I would love to try other shades too now!
