What the brand says: The easy-glide formula makes this pencil a one-stroke wonder with a silky, soft texture perfect for rimming the sensitive waterline. Its colour intensity and extreme depth creates a look with unparalleled impact. The long-wearing, waterproof formula locks in your look for hours.
The kajal comes in a twist up pencil which is not retractable. The pencil looks like any other twist-up kajal pencil and has a coloured band at the bottom reflecting the shade.
The kajal pencil is very smooth and glides on effortlessly.
I got the shade ‘Groundbreaker’ which is a pretty brown shade with copper shimmer in it. I loved this shade! I have a brown kajal pencil from Studiowest but it is not easy to apply, meaning it does not glide smoothly on the lids and the shade is pure chocolate brown whereas this kajal is purely brown with prominent copper shimmer which makes it look more like a copper shade. The shimmer adds subtle shine to it.
How I use and staying power: I often use kajals on both the upper lid and waterline (below the waterline as well). Since this is a copper-brown shade, I was a bit skeptical about using it on both the sides since I am used to dark eyes; but I used it just to see how it looks. The kajal glides like butter on the lids and on the waterline. The colour looks intense on the hand swatch but is not as pigmented when you use it as a kajal, maybe because of copper shimmer. I applied with a lot of pressure to darken the colour but in vain. Nevertheless, the kajal looks pretty and is perfect to be used when you want a no-makeup makeup look or a subtle makeup look. The kajal stays all day long with no smudging but fades a bit by the end of the day. Overall, I like this kajal and would definitely use it when I want a minimal makeup look.
