MY TAKE ON MAYBELLINE NEW YORK MASTER FLUSH CREATOR BLUSH

Packaging: The blush comes in a very pretty and sturdy case which has a mirror on the inner side of the lid. The blush has 2 shades together just like the NYX ombre blush that gives a nice gradient finish giving your cheeks a sculpted look.

Texture: The product is quite powdery and easy to blend. The blush does contain shimmer but is very fine and does not look tacky at all.

Shade: There are a total of 4 shades in the range, below is a summary on 3 shades I got-

Next To Nude

Next To Nude- This is the prettiest shade of all and since it has dusky pink and champagne shade, it looks very natural just like a regular blush and highlighter in one single swipe! Will suit all skin tones.

Kissbite

Kissbite- This is a bit on darker side than ‘Next To nude’ and is overall gradient pink from dark to light. If you love pink blush with rose highlight, this is for you! (irrespective of the skin tone). The highlight is very subtle though so you could always use a separate highlighter on top just like how I did here.

Afterglow

Afterglow- This is an orange and yellow shade which does not look as pretty in the pan (as a blush product) but with specific outfits and proper application can look good on any skin tone. Go light handed for a natural flush of color. The orange highlight isn’t very intense so you could always layer a highlighter on top like how I have done here.

Tickled Pink

Tickled Pink- This is a baby pink shade with one very light shade of baby pink and the other is a little darker. Nevertheless, it looks very light and natural on the cheeks. Will suit all skin tones.

How I use and staying power: To use, simply swipe a fluffy brush into the pan and apply on your cheeks in one stroke making sure the darker shade is downwards and the lighter shade is on the upper side.

The blushes are quite pigmented and even the lightest shade ‘Nude To Me’ is very dark and adds a pop of color to your cheeks and cheek bones. The blush does contain shimmer but is subtle and does not look tacky at all. Since the blush gives a gradient color to your cheeks, the lighter shade acts like a highlighter and the darker shade acts like a blush and this has a sculpting effect. You can actually skip contouring when you use this which means this is a great product to use when you are in a hurry and do not really have any time to contour. You can use this in one go or use the 2 shades individually using a blush brush and a highlighter brush. Now coming to the staying power, the blush when applied intensely stays all day long without fading but when applied light handed fades a bit by the end of the day which isn’t a problem though because it still looks pretty. The shades are quite pretty and I love them all.
