Maybelline has recently improved their existing super stay gel nail colors and relaunched with the name super stay 7 days! Gel nail colors are always great and so I picked one from the range. Today I am reviewing the shade French manicure (76).
Maybelline super stay 7 days gel nail enamel comes in a flattened glass container with a plastic applicator cum cap attached to it. No doubt, the packaging is travel friendly and one can carry it without any worry. The applicator brush is neither very thick and nor very thin. Just the right amount of bristles help to paint the nails with super ease.
It has a strong alcoholic smell and now let me tell you about the shade. I am clearly mentioning that if you don’t want just a “my nails but better” type of shade, don’t pick the shade French manicure! But you can choose any of your choice as it has a vast color options in the range. Particularly this shade is very sheer and just adds a shine on nails even after 3-4 coats. The shade is basically nude nail shade and that too very much sheer.
Thankfully it looks good and doesn’t make my nails looking dull. Now coming to the staying power. it stays on my nails for 3-4 days. One thing I want to clear that Maybelline says- “7days with top coat touch ups”! If I have to touch up just after 3 days why will I invest much money on a lipstick? So I am really not happy with the staying power and in this case with the pigmentation too.
- Travel friendly packaging
- Texture is really good and a little runny which is good for nail paints
- So many shades to choose from
- Adds shine to the nails
- Applicator is well shaped
- In case of the shade French manicure, the shade is very sheer and doesn’t show up on nails even after 3-4 coats
- Staying power is average compared to the price we are paying
