What the brand says: Best used with the Maybelline Face Studio V-Face Duo Contour Stick; two-tone powder helps you set both your contour and highlight without compromising colour; helps create a subtle contour and highlight when worn alone.
Packaging: The duo powder comes in a compact case similar to the usual compact powders. The bronzer and highlighter are perfectly compiled together in the same pan. An applicator brush too is provided with the product which is of good quality and makes application easy. The problem is with the mirror which is provided on the lower section since you always to take the product from first section and flip it over to use the mirror every now and then!
Texture: The powder is extremely soft and blends really well without looking patchy or chalky.
Shade: The shade ‘Medium Dark’ would suit most of the indian skin tones. The bronzer is not very dark and gives a sheer light brown pigmentation while the highlighter adds a subtle shine due to shimmer in it.
How I use and staying power: This duo powder can be used as a normal compact powder by mixing up the 2 coloured layers and also to contour. I like to use this on top of the Maybelline V Face Duo Stick since it stays adhered to the skin and deepens the colour. Simply apply the duo stick and use the bronzing powder over the dark shade of duo stick and the highlighter on the cheekbones and in the center of nose. Blend it using the applicator provided or any blending brush that you have.
The contour is not really pigmented but you can always layer it in order to deepen the colour. The contour stays all day on my oily-combination skin without making my face shiny or greasy.
