MAYBELLINE V FACE DUO STICK REVIEW

Packaging: The duo stick comes in dual sided contouring stick containing the bronzing shade on one side and highlighter on the other. The twist-up duo stick has lid on both the sides that fits tightly.

Texture: The product has a creamy texture but settles into powder finish and does not look or feel greasy at all.

Shade: The shade beige is suitable for light to medium skin tones while the brown shade is perfect for darker skin tones. Although, beige is very light and hardly shows up on my medium skin tone (NC42). The shade would suit only pale skinned girls.

How I use and staying power: After using foundation and setting it with a powder, I use the duo stick. Swipe the bronzer under the cheeks, on top of the forehead and on both the sides of nose followed by applying highlighter on the cheek bones, centre of forehead, centre of the nose and above the lips cupid bow. Blend it with your fingers (I tried with a brush but I feel fingers work the best since it is creamy) and you may use contouring powders on top of it to set it and deepen the contour.

The duo stick when used alone without a setting contouring powder does not last long. Though the highlighter stays intact. Can easily be removed with a makeup remover.

If you have very light or pale skintone, you may go with the beige shade or the brown will go with maximum skin tones. This duo stick is perfect when I don’t need a dark contour, but natural look.
