It’s not lipstick nor is it gloss. It’s like nothing that you have experienced before. It’s lipstick that goes on smoothly but looks matte!
Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams are exact dupes (and very cheaply available) for NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, and most of us are aware of this, thanks to the hype all over the internet. I got 4 beautiful shades from the Miss Claire lip creams and here is a review on it:
MY TAKE ON MISS CLAIRE SOFT MATTE LIP CREAMS- 01, 11, 07 AND 08
Packaging: The lip creams look exactly like the nyx lip creams. The body has colour resembling its shade and the screw cap is black. The applicator is doe shaped but I feel the quality of wand is not top-class. The entire tube and cap is made up of opaque plastic, is lightweight and travel friendly.
Texture: These lip creams are extremely creamy and thick just like a thick face cream. Only little is needed for entire lips as the cream spreads easily.
Shade: Shade 11 and 08 are quite similar, the only difference is that 08 has some mauve undertones while 11 is pure light pink which looks a bit neon. Shade 07 is pure neon pink and 01 is not-so-bright red or you can say dull kind of red. Shade 11 is not as light as the tube looks. All the shades are very much pigmented.
How I use and staying power: I simply take out the wand and apply the lip cream on my lips; press my lips together for an even colour and I am done. I need not dip the wand again for more product. One swipe gives an opaque and pigmented colour. The lip cream settles into a velvety matte finish which is not drying but feels quite moist and comfortable on the lips. It does transfer initially but I have observed after 1-2 hours the transferring stops. After moderate meals, the lip cream stays intact. If you have a very heavy and oily meal, the lip cream fades in the center but stays as it is at the edges which do look a bit tacky, so I just rub my lips together to smudge it and it looks as fresh as new!
