What the brand says: Nykaa Gold Rush Nail Lacquer Collection brings you superior nail lacquers with light reflecting pigments that deliver intense, long-lasting colour. Perfect for times when you want super shiny nails that last longer than regular polishes. The nail polish formulas are not only made without the three most common chemicals found in nail polishes (Toluene, DBP and Formaldehyde), but also without two other very dangerous chemicals (Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor).
Packaging: The nail polishes come in standard nail polish bottles like the other non-matte nykaa nail polishes. The brush is very sleek and makes application non-messy. The bottles are travel friendly since they are sturdy and won’t break easily.
Texture: The nail polishes are thin and not thick like the matte nail polishes. Spreads easily and won’t cause lumps or uneven textured bumps while application.
Shade: I got two shades in the range- ‘Lost in Gold’ and ‘Flicker Gold’. Lost in gold is a pretty rose gold colour but the pink is not very dominating- like if you wear it alone you won’t make out if it has pink undertones and would look like a usual gold nail polish. However, if you wear a yellow toned gold nail polish like the other shade- flicker gold alternatively or on the other hand you can easily make out the difference. The flicker gold is a pure yellow toned gold nail polish but is not as yellow as the other gold shades in the range.
Fragrance: Nail polishes have a typical acetone smell just like any other nail polish.
How I use and staying power: Apply the nail polish in one go and let it dry. Apply a second coat if desired. The nail polishes are not sheer so I don’t think a second coat is needed but you can apply for a pop of colour. The nail polishes have subtle and fine shimmer which looks really pretty because it reflects light. This range is perfect for any occasion or you may use it every day as well. I am in love with the shades I got and they stay intact for almost a week without any chipping which is good.
