What the brand says: Treat your lips to a kiss of smooth, creamy colour with the irresistible Butter Lipsticks in 12 new luscious shades. The formula’s delicate satin texture fused with highly saturated colour delivers full-yet-lightweight coverage with a luxurious satin finish.

The lipstick comes in pretty coloured twist up tubes. The colour of tube reflects the shade of lipstick, so it is easy for you to pick up the lipstick you want from your makeup vanity.

The lipsticks are very smooth and moisturizing. They have a subtle shine and settle to a satin finish.

I got 3 shades from the nyx butter gloss range:

Lollies: Lollies is a very light peach shade which will look frosty on most of the Indian medium skin tones. I feel this shade will go well with very fair skin. I did not like this shade at all, but i tried mixing it with darker shades and since it has coral undertones, it helps me create amazing shades.

Beach BBQ: Beach barbeque is a pretty baby pink shade which will go on all skin tones, and this one is my favourite.

Firecracker: Firecracker is a pure red colour, the proper blood red coloured lipstick.

How I use and staying power:

These lipsticks are moisturizing and not matte so they don’t accentuate lines, but it is always better to start off with well exfoliated lips for flawless application. Apply the lipstick as usual and press the lips together for an even application, you are done! The lipstick settles into a soft satin finish with subtle shine which I love.  It does transfer and vanishes 90% after meals. The stain left behind is negligible so you have to reapply the lipstick. I wished it at least left a stain because I love the stained look. The darker shades like the ‘Firecracker’ does leave a visible stain but that too isn’t obvious or prominent. So, all in all, I love the lipstick, especially the pink one and I don’t mind reapplying it after meals as I anyways would remove it or dab it with a tissue before eating so that it doesn’t get in my mouth.

Expert tip: Mixing ‘Firecracker’ with ‘Lollies’ creates a very beautiful coral pink shade. Try mixing the lighter shade with other dark shades and experiment.
