Sarojini Nagar is a well-known shopping destination in Delhi and is quite popular for its cheap clothes and accessories! You may also find branded stuff like Zara, Mango, forever 21, H&M, Pull & Bear etc. just like you do at Mumbai’s fashion street-hill road, chor bazaar etc. I often bump into YouTube videos and blog posts about Sarojini haul and it is astonishing to see people buying amazing stuff for as low as INR 50!
I always wanted to go shop at Sarojini Nagar but I am from Mumbai and I never really visit Delhi but I had a vacation planned to Leh (Ladakh) and had a hault in Delhi and finally made up my mind to go shop at the much hyped Sarojiji Nagar.
Sarojini Nagar is really crowded and is the busiest on weekends. It is the best to visit this place on Monday afternoon because you will get a lot of space and time to search for good and undamaged pieces and because there aren’t a lot of people around, you can bargain easily. A prop tip- If you bargain in front of other buyers, the seller won’t really listen to you so make sure there aren’t a lot of people shopping at the same time from same seller. Also, before you pay for the product, check the cloth/accessory properly for any defaults because I ended up with a broken buckle on a romper that I bought and had to throw it away eventually. The place is HUGE and is never ending; I don’t think I even got to explore 50% of the market in 1 day. Anyway, I managed to pick up some winter clothes, a jacket and an accessory I thought might be useful in Leh. Hope you enjoy the pictures 🙂
