MY TAKE ON THE BODY SHOP AMAZONIAN SAVIOUR MULTIPURPOSE BALM
Packaging: The balm comes in a pretty travel-friendly jar with a screw-cap lid.
Texture: The balm feels very thick in the jar but instantly melts when it comes in contact with the skin. The balm does not feel heavy but is very light weight.
Fragrance: The smell of this balm reminds me of a lip balm I made long ago using natural beeswax. Its smells slightly sweet and pleasant.
How I use and after-effects: Since this is multipurpose balm, you can use it for variety of skin issues. Below are some of the ways I use this product-
Tattoo balm- This product is widely used and is popular as a tattoo balm. People normally use oils or petroleum jelly to heal the tattoos and also to maintain them but they aren’t always safe. This balm is all natural and helps tattoo heal faster and keeps it bright and fresh-looking.
Cuticle cream/softener- You can use this to soften your cuticles and push them back. This can also be used to keep nails and fingers looking soft, moisturized and healthy.
Treat dry elbows- Dry elbows and knees can get dark with time and they need intense moisturization to keep them healthy and soft. This balm can be used on elbows and knees before bedtime and after bath.
Dry hands and feet- You can also use this to moisturize your dry hands and feet. Winter has already arrived (at least a degree or two has dropped) and this balm effectively helps me prevent dry patches on the hands and feet/legs. Also, I like to apply this on the feet, wear socks and let it work overnight.
As a lip balm- This multipurpose balm also works as a great lip balm and also as a lip-prep before applying matte lipstick.
That’s not all! You can use it in many other ways you want. The balm isn’t very sticky or greasy like the petroleum jelly but feels very lightweight on the skin. The balm works amazing in treating dry skin conditions and makes a great product for the coming winter. I recently got inked and I am super glad this product launched here in India at the right time! It keeps the inked area soft and so far i haven’t experienced any itchiness (which usually happens after you get inked while the skin peels). The product is easy to carry around and i can always keep it handy to use it on my tattoo or as a lip balm. You can also apply some castor sugar on damp lips and massage with a good amount of balm for intense exfoliation and then swipe it off to reveal softer lips. I have combination skin so I do not like applying this on my face but if you have severely dry patches or dry skin, you can use it as an overnight treatment. The balm is truly multipurpose, is natural and works amazing for a variety of dry skin conditions. I give this product a big thumbs up!
